Shawna, Avery, and I flew to South Carolina last weekend for my niece Amanda's wedding. We arrived in Charleston and then went on to Folly Beach. The wedding was beautiful, we had a great time with family. My siblings and I were all together for the first time in many, many years. The weather was perfect and my niece did a wonderful job planning her wedding from miles away. Amanda's new husband will be deployed to Afghanistan on December 3rd, sadly that is also Amanda's birthday. As a result, Amanda is staying with her mom and brother in South Carolina for the next year until her love returns home.
We had a blast, and Avery loved the beach, sand, and seashells.

Playing on the beach. It is hard for me to believe that he will be a year old next month. Avery is so wonderful and loves life. Avery will be joined by a sibling in March or April, I'll take another just like him, well maybe a granddaughter would be nice. :)
