Life has been busier in the last nine months. Six weeks ago I had surgery on my leg again. Then a new medication added to the already long list I take. This new medication seems almost magical since it is working so well.
Not that I will be climbing mountains like Shari, or running marathons like my niece Amanda, but I can live with it. It allows me take walks with Mateo and Avery too. It allows me to take care of Avery for Shawna. That is the least I can do, for all the years she willingly helped me with her brothers. 
The result is being I believe being a grandparent ROCKS!!! and I have enjoyed every minute, I have spent with him in the last nine months. Avery is excited to see me when I arrive, we are buddies. He is full of hugs and kisses, we have these deep conversations, Avery says "Nana," and then I say "Avery" and he smiles at me the most precious smile. 
Shawna is a wonderful mother, but then I always knew she would be. She is enjoying motherhood and that makes for a happy baby. 
Happy Nine months my little guy, this Nana loves you more than words can say. You have blessed my life, like your momma did all those years ago. I can't imagine it any other way. |
He is just adorable! I hope you're doing okay after your surgery. All those medications sound like a drag, but I'm glad the newest is working for you.
